David G. Hesse, M.D.

Dr. Hesse is an expert in the treatment of urological cancer. He specializes in nerve sparing radical prostate surgery and in using new surgical techniques to create artificial bladders after radical bladder surgery. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, he graduated cum laude from Brandeis University, then returned to the University of New Mexico School of Medicine for his medical degree. In medical school, he was elected to the medical honorary society, Alpha Omega Alpha, and received the highest scholastic award in his class. The Faculty Award for Excellence. After medical school, he was a surgical resident and research fellow at Cornell University Medical College. His residency in urology was performed at The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and The New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Hesse is certified by the American Urological Association, the American Association of Clinical Urologists and the American Medical Association. He has privileges at Yale-New Haven Hospital and the Hospital of St. Raphael.

Dr. Hesse resides in Branford with his wife and three children.
